Despite his contract in St. James’ Park until 2028, Isak was regularly connected to the rivals of Newcastle.

Arsenal were long -term admirers of the Swedish international and Liverpool interest was also reported.

Newcastle received a price tag of £ 150 million in January, but Isak is not too concerned about his potential on the whereabouts over the summer.

He spoke on Sunday before the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool, which is live in talk sports, and said that his future is not in his thoughts.

More about the Premier League

“I think I said I don’t really think of the summer, but yes, that will probably be a topic of conversation when the season is finished,” said Isak about the times.

“We will really see because no conversations have been held yet. It is nothing really about my future what I think about.

“I have often said during a season, only concentrate on the job and now is probably the worst time to think about anything else. So all of our focus is on Sunday.

“As I have said many times, I don’t really see too much or think too much about my future.

“I said I’m happy here and we are candidates for what you want to win as a football player. We were in a final and now we are in another, so there are the chances.

“This club can achieve great things. I think we should look at it one season and this season we can win a trophy that would be amazing for everyone.”
