Scottish football legend Ally McCoist believes German striker Niclas Füllkrug would be an excellent addition to the Premier League.
The Borussia Dortmund frontman is one of the most successful goalscorers at the 2024 European Championship, although he was not in the starting line-up in any of the three group matches.

Füllkrug scored a dream goal as a substitute in the 5-1 win against Scotland and then equalized with a brilliant header in the 1-1 draw against Switzerland.
While McCoist, as a former striker, was impressed by Spaniards Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal, he enjoyed watching Füllkrug the most.
“Nico Williams was in a class of his own,” McCoist told The Pitch Prospect.com.
“By the way, I swear to God, he played 20 minutes against Italy. He was incredible, those 20 minutes against [Giovanni] By Lorenzo.
“My goodness, he was great. I mean, he was brilliant the whole game, but the first 20 minutes were fantastic. He would have been great [in the Premier League]. Of course, young Yamal on the other side is also great.
“But the one I would like to see is Füllkrug. I have no doubt that he would score goals in the top English league. I like him.”
“I don’t like to use the term old-fashioned centre-forward. But he is a real centre-forward.”
“He brings people into the game, can get back, is powerful and attacks things in the box. I think he would be a great signing for anyone.”

Füllkrug has been the subject of interest from Premier League teams in the past, including West Ham, who recently monitored him.
When he left Werder Bremen to join Dortmund in 2023, he said: “I could have gone to England, for example, to a club that plays internationally. But I didn’t feel like I was leaving Werder Bremen for that,” adding that he felt the tingling sensation when the Champions League finalists came calling.
German coach Julian Nagelsmann prefers to use Arsenal star Kai Havertz as his starting number 9, with Füllkrug as an option for the bench.
Havertz has scored just one goal in the tournament so far, a penalty, but McCoist believes the 25-year-old deserves his place in the starting lineup.
The TalkSPORT co-host added: “I probably wouldn’t [start Fullkrug over Havertz]And that may sound a little contradictory.
“But I just think that the German style of play at the moment is that they like to start the game with Havertz.
“And the three front players, [Florian] Wirtz, Havertz and [Jamal] Musiala, let yourself drift and put your hands in your pockets.
“But I just think they have a brilliant option in Fullkrug, as we saw. He scored a great goal against Scotland. But his header against Switzerland just made it perfect.”
“So I’m not sure I would play him from the start, but he’s certainly an excellent option.”
