Alphonso Davies’ agent plots meetings with 4 clubs as Bayern Munich talks stall

Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies’ representative will reportedly meet with four different European giants to discuss a move for his client after talks over a contract extension stalled.

Davies is racing through the last six months of his current contract with FC Bayern. Despite remaining an undisputed starter for Vincent Kompany’s Bundesliga leaders, the club and his agent Nick Househ have been unable to agree a new contract for the flying full-back.

This uncertainty and the threat of free agency have sparked interest from elite clubs across the continent. Real Madrid have long been considered Davies’ strongest supporter, although Manchester United’s search for a new left-back has led to links with the Premier League giants.

Bayern Munich appeared to have turned away from the public ultimatum of signing in July or being sold and offered the player new and improved terms in November.

However, there is still no agreement and Davies’ agent will leave Munich to start discussions with his client’s numerous applicants, it is said PICTURE‘S Christian Falk.

Four clubs – Real Madrid, Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City – have been named as targets for Househ’s sales pitch.

While there is strong interest from Madrid and United, Liverpool could be inclined to sign the 24-year-old Champions League winner as a long-term successor to the fading Andy Robertson. The club’s popular and highly decorated defender says he hasn’t had his best season and has collected more red cards (one) than assists (zero) this season.

City don’t even have a natural senior left-back to replace. Josko Gvardiol has most often stepped in for Pep Guardiola, who began restructuring his defense in January. Young centre-back duo Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov are expected to arrive in Manchester this month. It remains to be seen whether Davies will follow in the summer.
