Ange Postecoglou was a blockbuster at Euro 2024, especially for Arsenal.
The Tottenham manager was a highly anticipated addition to ITV’s coverage of the event and he did not disappoint.

Postecoglou has a long history on the bench, dating back to his time in Australia and Scotland, and has won over many fans since moving to the Premier League, even those who vehemently dislike Spurs.
At the top of that list, of course, are Arsenal fans, but even they might have found it hard to keep from grinning at his latest jibe.
Before England’s 0-0 draw with Slovenia in Group C, the experts discussed star striker Benjamin Sesko, who had only extended his contract in Leipzig a week earlier.
The 21-year-old newcomer was linked with a number of top European clubs before deciding to stay in Germany, with AC Milan, Arsenal and Chelsea all in need of goals and keeping an eye on his services.

Like many others, Posetcoglou believes that the still very inexperienced striker needs more time to refine his skills, commenting: “I think a big club would have had their eye on him this year and it is a smart move that he stays there for another year.”
“I think he still has a lot of potential for development, but he definitely has really good qualities for a striker position.”
When asked by presenter Mark Pougatch if he was saying that not joining Arsenal was a smart move, Postecoglou replied: “No comment.”
His jibe sparked laughter, even from Gunners legend Ian Wright and the otherwise stern-looking Roy Keane.

Sesko scored 18 goals in his debut season with Leipzig and, although his teammate Lois Openda scored more, he made the headlines with a series of stunning strikes.
However, Arsenal will have to look elsewhere for now as Brentford’s Ivan Toney is repeatedly linked with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
