Postecoglou insisted that he is confident that Mathys Tel will be at the end loan From the Bayern Munich.
Spurs worked hard to convince Tel to move the Deadline Day, and Postecoglou entered to convince the young French striker to participate in a deal that includes the option for permanent transmission in summer.
In Postecoglous eyes, however, Tel has already been completed as a long -term signing.
“He will certainly play an important role in our end of the season,” said Postecoglou. “He wants to influence and I expect him to do that.
“He will be a Tottenham player. I think he will show everyone that he will be a Tottenham player in the next six months. I haven’t brought him here for six months.”
The loan change from Tel to Tottenham came days after he had rejected a permanent approach of the club, but Posetecoglou insisted that the 19-year-old had the right to need more information about such a significant step.
“It is a simplified way to look at it,” the boss continued. “People have to understand that they talk about a 19-year-old player who has to make an important decision about his career.
“It is not so much that he rejected us or anyone of others. Right so that he received as much information as possible. More than anything I think, he just wanted to be satisfied with the decision. Got was that he didn’t want to be pushed in a certain direction.
“I had a conversation with him and in mine was just about football. I think he will find a really great place for him. I think the way we play would get him an opportunity, and certainly with that, What we have in the next few months and above all what we are building about it, I thought that it fits perfectly with his next step.
“At the same time, I think it was right to take as long as he did, and he felt totally comfortable with it.”
The former Spurs favorite Harry Kane, who played next to Tel in Bavaria, supported the teenager to enjoy a successful spell in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
