Tottenham Hotspur Manager Verzecoglou made fun of his critics after his team’s victory over Eintracht Frankfurt made it easier for his shoulders to put pressure on Eintracht Frankfurt in the quarter-finals of the Europa League.

“What is more important is the conviction that the team had, because after a season like ours it would be very easy for the players and employees, they would have shattered me in a fairly vulnerable place in relation to them, but I never felt that with all the noise for our season.
“They were so united that they believed in what we want to achieve here, and that gave me my heart all the time that I really thought that this team could achieve it. This is what stimulates me again and again. It is not so much that my faith is in her.
“I am the front man for it, but you also take responsibility for it and all my decisions and everything I do, but in no way I had the feeling that you lost my belief in me or what we do. This is crucial if you have a difficult time of year, but there is also a season of chances.”
