Arne Slot fires warning to Arsenal & Man City after Premier League title

Arne Slot, head coach of Liverpool, warned that his newly crowned Premier League champions would “improve” the next season in order to stop Arsenal and Manchester City again.

The Reds were officially confirmed as the top winner after the 5-1 hit by Tottenham Hotspur last weekend, but they had been chosen as champions for several months. Some have pointed out a perceived waste in the slots side, with deviating voices in the same week from the Champions League and the Carabao Cup from the Champions League and the Carabao Cup.

A more objective overview shines a particularly flattering light in the slot outfit.

While Arsenal and City left unmistakably this season compared to the high -quality title fight last season, this iteration of Liverpool has more points than the two club in the same stage of the 2023/24 campaign. The Slot team could end the season with 94 points – which would represent the sixth highest balance in the history of the Premier League.

Despite this selection of achievements, Slot still wants more. “If I had the feeling that we could not improve as a team, we would have a problem because I know that Manchester City and Arsenal will improve,” the Dutch boss noticed to Chelsea before the trip on Sunday.

“This improvement will also come from new players because they did it for so many years. We may have set the example [by making few additions] But I don’t think that will happen! “

Slot has put Liverpool’s potential expenses in the coming summer window, although Virgil van Dijk insists that it will be a “big summer” of income and expenses.

Van Dijk’s decision to sign an extension of the contract – after Mohamed Salah’s commitment to the club – reduce the transfer request from Liverpool. However, there were numerous speculations with both back positions, and the club should be a central striker in view of the probable departure of at least one attack output.
