The Liverpool Manager Arne Slot reported regular telephone calls with Bayer Leverkusen rights defender Jeremie Frimpong in summer transfer.
The red are prepared for the summer departure of Trent Alexander-Arnold, who supposedly rejected a last offer of a new contract to conclude a free transfer to Real Madrid at the end of the season.
The expiring contract of Alexander-Arnold was a major problem for Liverpool throughout the season and the work has long been underway to identify a replacement. Already in December it was reported that Frimpong was at the top of the list of Liverpool’s potential.

It is said that Slot has made no secret of his wish in summer to sign Frimpong, but the Liverpool boss also confessed that signing a new right-back does not have a top priority, even if the club pursues a replacement for Alexander-Arnold.
