Arne Slot, manager of Liverpool, has warned his site that they cannot have them revised in the Merseyside derby on Wednesday.
The Reds used the international break to implement themselves after a bitterly disappointing show in the final defeat of Carabao Cup against Newcastle United, which in Wembley made light work of the Premier League champions of the slot champions.
At the beginning of this week it turned out that Slot had held a meeting with his squad on Monday to take into account her poor performance against Newcastle and to ask for an answer when she competed against Everton on Wednesday.
After details of his meeting, Slot announced: “There was definitely a message to the players. They came on Saturday and we had the meeting about which they talk about [on Monday].
“The message is as simple as always: do not accept that you are revised by a team that we were against Newcastle, and if the missions are so high, that’s almost unacceptable – almost. It can happen once or twice in a season, but it shouldn’t happen often.”
Slot realized that he might not helped his players by crossing five days before the trip to Wembley just five days before the trip to Wembley, but insisted that Liverpool consisted more than just energy levels.
“[I] Show you the work rate you used for so many games in a row, “Slot continued.” Paris Saint-Germain was a great example of this. Maybe I may have made the biggest mistake by not shot enough.
“But I thought there would be [five] Days in between for Newcastle. They had enough peace, but it’s too easy to say that we were only revised. We have to do everything Newcastle has done [from] A corner. This has nothing to do with a sprint or a trace.
“But [the squad meeting] emphasizes what we did where we are now. For me, apart from quality, this is an incredible work rate of every single game that we played in the Premier League. “
