Stevens performed for the Glaswegian Giants, who came in the last fight against Queen of the South during the 2022/23 campaign in the Scottish League Cup against Queen of the South.

He spent the second half of the last season with Dunfermline Athletic in the Scottish championship before ending his Rangers.

The wing player will now play for the Arsenal -U21 after he has impressed the Premier League team when trying.

“Since Archie was with us, he has really impressed as a person and player,” said the academy manager and ex-defender by Mertesacker.

“He fit seamlessly into our environment and was very impressive in the games and training. Archie absolutely deserves this next stage in his career with his professional contract with us.

“We welcome Archie in our academy and look forward to working with him in his continued development.”

Stevens, who introduced three times for the English U18s, played against Chelmsford City and Monaco II in the preliminary season.

“My first game was against Chelmsford in the pre -season. I think I gave a good report about myself,” he said.

“Then we had the Monaco game in France what was a great opportunity. I arrived in the last 30 minutes, so I wanted to influence.

“I saw the ball came to me in a wide area, but I thought I had to bring something away whether it was a shot or a passport, and I went to the goal.”

“Obviously it is such a big club, so it’s a dream to be here, I’m only grateful for the opportunity.”

Stevens could join the Hale End graduates

A move to the Arsenal Academy could help Stevens bring a successful breakthrough to football at the highest level.

In the youth setup, which is known as a Hale End, a number of young talents came into the professional game.

Ashley Cole and CESC Fabregas are among the most talented graduates as well as Talksports own Ray Salon.

In recent times, Bukayo Saka spent before moving to the first team in the academy, for which he scored 71 goals and assisted 72.

Ethan Nwaneri also made the successful leap and became the youngest Premier League player at the age of 15 in 2022.

Max Dowman finished second behind Nwaneri at the beginning of this season when he came 5-0 against Leeds United from the bank at Arsenals.

He also made his debut at the age of 15, although Arsenal continues to show confidence in young talents.

Stevens could be the next outstanding starlet, but it remains to be seen whether he made his debut in the third round of the Carabao Cup against Port Vale on September 24th.
