Leroy Sane must have written a contract extension with the Bayern Munich, and several Premier League clubs are still on alert in terms of the situation of the wing player.
The current Deal of Sane is running in June, and Bavaria offered the German international a new deal with a reduced salary. After Sane sounded a frustrating end of the 2023/24 season, he enjoyed a strong season under Vincent Kompany when the club regained the Bundesliga title.
The 29-year-old has achieved a career height 11-league goals this season and expanded five templates, and the sports director of Bayern, Max Eberl, said before the victory against Borussia Monchengladbach that the Reds wanted to connect the Sane to an expansion.
“Our wish would be to continue with Leroy,” said Eberl about Sky Sport Germany. “But we also set a framework in which we said we want to operate in this context. And if this frame were broken – difficult! – it would be very, very difficult.”
It is reported that Sane is not satisfied with the reduced content of Bayern – which is assumed that it is around € 14 million or € 15 million – and there is still the possibility that he will leave a free transfer to Bavaria this summer.
The German international has the Premier League admirers, and it is said that Sane is more open to move to Arsenal or Chelsea via Tottenham Hotspur or Newcastle United, who was also attributed to an interest in his services.
La Liga also stands on the table for Sane, although neither Barcelona nor Real Madrid urgently have to attack reinforcements, and Atletico Madrid seems unlikely to take a step.
Therefore, the Premier League seems to be the most realistic goal for Sane that has spent four destructive years with an all-conquering team from Manchester City before he came to Bavaria in 2020 if he was not extended.
“It is now up to Leroy,” added director Eberl. “We hope that he does. If not, we have to find a different solution.” Bayern hopes for clarity before her last game of the season in Hoffenheim this weekend.
