Arsenal was offered hope to sign Leroy Sane after the Bayern Munich star changed the representatives during the contract negotiations with the Bavarian giants.
The former winger of Manchester City is no longer a contract this summer and would be available for free transmission, with Arsenal among the clubs interested in signing it if he should leave the Allianz Arena at the end of the current campaign.
However, Bayern have recently had intensive contract negotiations with Sane when they try to extend his stay, and the 29-year-old has achieved 13 goals and four templates for the Bundesliga champions this season.
According to the journalist Florian PlettenbergBavaria was about to achieve an agreement with Sane when he was represented by his former agent. The German international should sign a contract by 2028 with a reduced salary of € 14-16 million per year (previously EUR 20 million).
But Sane has now informed the red that he has changed representatives and has teamed up with Pini Zahavi. The Forward’s contract extension is no longer certain after this change, whereby new conditions may be negotiated.
This leaves the door for arsenal ajar, especially if new contract talks are unsuccessful. The Gunners are looking for attack reinforcements in large areas, and Sane would be someone who is able to share minutes with Bukayo Saka.
Arsenal supporters have to approach the situation with caution, since Bavaria is still confident of making an agreement, whereby the club president Herbert Haininer insists that Sane wants to continue in Bavaria.
“We usually almost always made an agreement with his new agent Zahavi. I am naturally an optimist,” said Hainer. “Leroy often said enough that he wants to stay.”
Sane joined Bavaria from MAN City in 2020 and has since made 218 appearances for the club. He added a fourth Bundesliga title to his collection at the weekend after Bayer Leverkusen’s draw with Freiburg gifted the red The Crown.
