As The Pitch Prospect has learned, Arsenal have made RB Leipzig star player Benjamin Sesko their top target after careful monitoring.
We told you earlier this month that the 20-year-old is on the Gunners’ radar as the club look for a replacement for Eddie Nketiah.

The North Londoners are keen to sign a new centre-forward who can develop alongside Kai Havertz and provide him with competition.
And Mikel Arteta is keen to sign the young player, with the club’s scouts tracking his progress throughout the 2023/24 season.
They were even there to see Sesko at Leipzig’s last Bundesliga game, where he got on the scoresheet in a 2-2 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Meanwhile, Sesko’s agent Elvis Basanovic was at Old Trafford in early May to see Arsenal beat United 1-0 and was also at the Emirates last month to witness Chelsea’s 5-0 defeat.
Gunners fans will get a good look at the striker when Slovenia face England at Euro 2024, as the two nations will be drawn in the group stages.
Sesko is expected to lead the Slovenian attack and, at 20 years old, he is already a key player for his club and country.
It’s hard to believe, but with eleven goals in 28 international matches, he is seventh on the country’s all-time goalscorer list.
And he has been in brilliant form for Leipzig this season, scoring 18 goals in 42 games in all competitions.

Sesko has found the net in each of his last seven games in the German top flight after scoring just three goals in his first 15 league games.
And after his meteoric rise in recent years, he is considered one of the best strikers in Europe.
Arteta would prefer a young striker who he can develop further, with Gabriel Jesus struggling with form and injuries this season, so Havertz would be preferred up front.
The Brazilian scored just five goals in the Premier League and Arsenal lost the title to Manchester City.
Arsenal are not the only team considering a possible transfer for Sesko after his first season in Germany.
It has been reported that Sesko is one of the names on Chelsea’s wishlist.
Meanwhile, long-time fan Manchester United are also looking to strengthen their attack with Anthony Martial leaving this summer.
Arsenal FC are set to have a busy transfer window, with the club already being linked with several players, including Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.
