It is believed that Arsenal’s search for a new striker was limited to two leading names this summer, as a report was announced.
The Gunners are one of many teams who pursue a well -known striker, with Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool, of which they are interested in strengthening when the summer transfer window has been opened.
The four sides were often associated with the same players, but when the transfer window is closer, focused short lists begin.
According to David Ornstein, Arsenal now see Viktor Gyokoker from Sporting CP and Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig as their leading destinations, and manager Mikel Areta is probably not sealing themselves with Alexander Isak from Newcastle United.
“Arsenal will also try to strengthen the attack, players like Viktor Gyokoker of Sporting, Benjamin Sesko am Radar” NBC Sport.
“I don’t think Alexander Isak will be realistic, still Victor Osimhen and other names that you hear around.”
Several clubs seem to have ended their persecution of Osimhen. It is known that both Chelsea and United concentrate their efforts on the Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap and possibly open the door for arsenal characters with very little competition.
It is believed that Gyokeres is most interested in moving to Arsenal and may have to pay around 60 million GBP to reach the Swedish international.
Sesko remains a goal for Chelsea and United – both clubs that prefer movements for younger strikers – but were able to prove to be incredibly expensive. Reports about a release clause of 60 million GBP have been questioned since then, and there are suggestions that it could be sold for up to 86 million GBP.
