Ramsey has been plagued by injuries but is still one of Villa’s most important stars.

And this despite the fact that Villa boss Unai Emery coached the Spurs midfielder at both Paris Saint-Germain and Villarreal.

Lo Celso, 28, has been with Spurs since 2020 and has made 108 appearances for the club. His current contract runs until June 2025.

Tottenham have already brought Timo Werner back from RB Leipzig on loan for another season.

They have also signed midfielder Lucas Bergvall from Djurgarden for £8.5 million.

Ramsey has been with the Villans since he was six years old and, with the exception of a spell in League One with Doncaster Rovers, has spent his entire career with the club.

Last season he played 21 times for the club, but missed large parts of the season due to numerous injuries.

The 23-year-old scored one goal and provided two assists during that time, helping Emery’s team to fourth place in the Premier League.

Ramsey has played 122 times for Villa, scoring 13 goals and providing 12 assists.
