As The Pitch Prospect has learned, Atletico Madrid is threatening to call off the transfer of Conor Gallagher.
This happened after Samu Omorodion’s move in the opposite direction to Chelsea FC failed.

Due to last-minute complications, the Blues withdrew from a contract that would have seen them rid of the 20-year-old from the Wanda Metropolitano.
Chelsea’s original £36 million deal to sign the striker was negotiated in parallel with Atletico’s efforts to sign Gallagher.
Now The Pitch Prospect has learned that Gallagher’s move to Atletico is in question.
The England international is currently in Madrid after the west Londoners accepted an initial offer of £33 million for the midfielder.
The LaLiga club is dissatisfied and is threatening to let the Gallagher deal collapse.
However, Samu could still move to the Premier League as his agents are offering him to other clubs.
However, it was a major blow for Diego Simeone’s side, who relied on the £36 million they received from Omorodion to finance Julian Alvarez’s contract.
The Pitch Prospect reported last week that the Spanish giants had agreed a transfer fee of over £80 million with Manchester City for the striker, who, like Gallagher, will remain in the Spanish capital.
All parties are now working hard on a solution that could enable Joao Felix to return to Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis.
The versatile Portuguese attacker spent the second half of the 2022/23 season on loan at Chelsea, where he was notably sent off on his debut in an away defeat to Fulham.
But despite a disappointing four goals in 16 top-flight games, he proved to be a big fan favorite among the loyal Blues.

It is believed that talks have taken place over Chelsea signing Felix for a transfer fee of around £43 million.
His agent Jorge Mendes is already in London, where he held talks with Chelsea about the player on Sunday.

Mendes was at Chelsea’s 1-1 pre-season friendly against Inter Milan at Stamford Bridge when Pedro Neto was signed from Wolves for £51 million.
Felix is said to be interested in a return to Chelsea after spending last season on loan at Barcelona, where he scored ten goals in 44 games in all competitions.
Despite the possible arrival of Felix, Enzo Maresca’s team remains interested in Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
Meanwhile, talks between Chelsea and the 2023 Serie A champions regarding Romelu Lukaku in a separate deal are expected to continue.
The Belgian is keen to leave Chelsea after two consecutive loan spells at Inter and Roma.
And a move to Naples would reunite him with Antonio Conte, with whom he won the Scudetto at Inter in 2021.
