Barcelona is interested in reunification with the former Academy Talent Alejandro Grimaldo, a report.
Grimaldo was classified as high when he came through the ranks in La Masia, but went to Benfica in 2016 without having a senior appearance for the club. The left-back blinded his talents to Bayer Leverkusen in 2023 and immediately played a key role in the team’s Bundesliga triumph last season.
When he approaches 100 games for the German outfit Sky Sport Germany State, this form has caught Barcelona’s eye.
Under the direction of Sporting Director Deco, Barcelona is reported that he has been watching Grimaldo again and had discussions about a possible summer return to Catalonia.
Grimaldo has never spared his wish to play for Barcelona and only admits in March that he still dreams of turning to Camp Nou, and it is even assumed that he has an agreement with Leverkusen officials to make this ambition easier if an acceptable offer arrives.
Grimaldo goes one step further and reported to Leverkusen about his wish to leave the club this summer. At the age of two, when he approaches his 30th birthday, Leverkusen realized the last chance this summer that they have to ask for a significant fee for the sale of Grimaldo.
The Spanish international is expected to cost between € 30 and 40 million (€ 25.6 million £ 34.1 million).
