David Cobeno, sports director of Rayo Vallecano, warned the applicants from Andrei Ratiu that they are not willing to negotiate a summer sale.
The 26-year-old enjoys an excellent season on the right of Rayo’s defense and scores two goals and two templates to help his team’s push in the European competitions of the next season.
Its shape sparked interest from a number of sides across Europe. There was the interest of the Premier League in January, and Tottenham Hotspur is seen as a summer counter, while Barcelona Ratiu also identified as a potential goal.
In a recent interview with Radio MarcaCobeno insisted that they do not make life easier for the ratiu clients, but pointed out the release clause in the contract of the right -back, which is believed to be around EUR 25 million (EUR 21 million).
“He is 50% our player,” Cobeno began. “If someone wants to ask us about him, we are open to talk, but to this day we would refer to the clause.
“He is a very important player for us who lives his first year in the elite and is our wish that he can continue for many years.”
Ratiu was recently asked about speculation, but his best did to distance himself from all the rumors about his future.
“I focus on my work and on Rayo that is my team and I respect them,” he said to AS.
“I come from a modest family. I never liked to be the focus of attention and give interviews … I find it difficult to feel safe with people.”
