The Reds are currently leading the race to sign the Bayer Leverkusen middle field player this summer.

Wirtz has already agreed personal conditions before a possible change according to Anfield, Talksport understands.
After both Bavaria and Manchester City have approved a defeat in their 22-year-old’s jobs.
Liverpool is now negotiating with Leverkusen after a first bid of £ 84 million for Wirtz.
European football expert Andy Brassell believes that Bayern has dropped the ball on the transfer with its approach.
Wirtz was seen before the next season to move to the Bundesliga master.
Instead, Germany’s national player can end up on Merseyside after Bavaria has failed with a “lowball” range for his services.
Brassell said the Transuropa Express Show: “No disrespect of Liverpool, but Bavaria dropped the ball to a certain extent because Wirtz was definitely interested.
“His father met Uli Hoeness a few times and seemed to make himself known.
“And I think the Bavarians tried a low ball Leverkusen and assumed that Wirtz hurled the door down to go there, and he didn’t.
“His father is his agent, they are a close family. They look at things over a long period of time.

“When Liverpool gets him, I think it is an absolutely great pickup. I think it’s so difficult to strengthen a team that is incredibly successful anyway, but to have someone who relieves the creative strain for Mo Salah, even though he plays a different position, is great.
“I think it expands Mo Salah’s life as an elite player for Liverpool. So that’s really important. I think this is a big statement that is signed for Liverpool if you can bring it across the line.
“And when we are shocked, Bayern are even more shocked. They thought they had them in their pockets.”
Wirtz scored 16 goals and achieved 15 templates in 45 appearances in all competitions for Leverkusen in the recent campaign.
It came after helping the team to an unbeaten Bundesliga title and a German trophy triumph last season.
Wirtz joined Koln’s academy as a 16-year-old in 2020.
He later gave his league debut after 17 years in the same year and remains the fourth youngest player in the history of the Bundesliga.
The playmaker also won 29 upper limits for Germany and scored six goals.
