Borussia Dortmund’s sporting director Sebastian Kehl is not sure whether he will be able to sign Jadon Sancho permanently this summer.
Sancho returned to Dortmund on loan from Manchester United in January and has shown improved form since then.

The 24-year-old has scored three goals and assisted three more in all competitions this season and was instrumental in the team’s run to the Champions League final, where they lost to Real Madrid.
Sancho’s improved performances could mean a chance for him to return to Dortmund permanently, given his difficulties at United.
However, club boss Kehl is not yet convinced that a change is possible before the next season.
Speaking to TNT Sports ahead of the Champions League final via the Daily Mirror, he said: “To be honest, I don’t know yet because it’s been great to have him with us for the last six months.”

“He has increased the quality of our team and is looking forward to the final. He wants to win and everything else will be decided after that.”
“The situation is pretty clear, he still has a contract with Man United, we have no option to buy, which means we have to discuss and negotiate.
“I don’t know if it will work. But first of all I hope he scores a goal or two tonight and then the price will go up.”
ESPN has reported that United expect Sancho to leave the club this summer, regardless of Erik ten Hag’s future as manager.

At the beginning of the season, he only made three appearances for the club before he was excluded from first-team training due to a high-profile falling out with the Dutchman.
Ten Hag claimed he had not trained well enough to be named in the squad for the Premier League defeat to Arsenal in September.
Sancho hit back at the Dutchman in a now-deleted post on social media and was subsequently excluded from the first team.
The England international signed for United for £73 million in 2021 after shining at Dortmund, for whom he scored 50 goals in his first spell in charge.
Since then, he has scored 12 goals in 82 appearances for United in all competitions. His contract at Old Trafford expires in 2026.
