Brighton have rejected an £8 million offer from Napoli for Billy Gilmour, The Pitch Prospect has learned.

The Seagulls could be tempted to cash in on Scottish international Gilmour if Napoli are willing to pay around £12 million.
Gilmour was a regular for Brighton last season, making 41 appearances in all competitions.
However, following the departure of his previous boss Roberto De Zerbi, he faces an uncertain future at the Amex Stadium.

Although it was Frank Lampard who gave Gilmour his Chelsea debut, the midfielder’s first season in Chelsea’s academy came during Conte’s final season in west London.
Gilmour could also be joined by his former Chelsea teammate Romelu Lukaku, who would love to work with Conte again after they won the Serie A title together with Inter Milan in 2021.
In addition, he would be the second top-class Scot in the Italian top league after his national team colleague Lewis Ferguson was successful at Bologna.
