According to The Pitch Prospect, Chelsea are disappointed with Borussia Dortmund because they tried to sign Aaron Anselmino on a permanent basis.
The 20-year-old was sent on a season-long loan to Signal Iduna Park last summer to familiarize him with European football.

Signed from Boca Juniors for £15.6m in 2024, Anselimino spent another season on loan at La Bombonera before being included in Chelsea’s victorious Club World Cup-winning squad.
After his debut failed, the young central defender was sent to Dortmund to play in the regular first team.
Due to repeated injuries, the Argentine U20 international ultimately only made ten appearances in all competitions, only six of which were in the Bundesliga.

And with Chelsea in the midst of an injury crisis with Levi Colwill and Tosin Adarabioyo at the back, the decision was made to withdraw Anselmino from his loan early – much to his dismay.
Videos emerged on social media showing the defender in tears as he said goodbye to his Dortmund teammates and coaches.
Chelsea’s decision is believed to have angered BVB officials, who were surprised by the news after receiving no signals that the Blues would bring Anselmino back.
But The Pitch Prospect understands the West London giants are just as frustrated with the German giants.
The two-time Champions League winner didn’t like Dortmund trying to convince Anselmino to agree on a permanent move.
In November, BVB sports director Sebastian Kehl expressed his desire to keep the youngster at the club long-term.
He said: “We definitely need to pick up the phone and call them in the next few days.”

“We have a very good relationship with Chelsea.
“Of course we hope that Aaron stays.”
Despite Dortmund’s intentions, Chelsea have no desire to sell Anselmino and view him as an important player for the future.
But in the short term they don’t think he will play a role at the club.
As a result, he is loaned out again, this time to sister club Strasbourg, who share ownership alongside Chelsea BlueCo.
The temporary changeover is expected to be in the final stages of completion.

And The Pitch Prospect also understands that Chelsea are in the process of recalling Mamadou Sarr from his loan spell at Strasbourg.
The 20-year-old centre-back, who was part of Senegal’s AFCON-winning squad, was signed last summer on an eight-year contract, with the player remaining on loan at Stade de la Meinau.
But unlike Anselmino, he will not be released again as the player is expected to travel to England on Monday.
After working with Sarr for 18 months in France, Rosenior feels he is ready to tackle the physical demands of the Premier League.
