With Ben Chilwell, who drives from Chelsea to Strasbourg, Samuels-Smith is back in England.

It is certainly a deal that excites the Swans head coach Alan Sheehan.

“He is a hungry young player who is excited to take this opportunity.”

Swansea Director of Football added: “The need to strengthen our options on the left side of the defense was well documented, and we believe that the addition of high -quality coverage in Ishé will be important for the coming season and that we can further evaluate this position in front of future windows.”

How is that allowed?

According to the FIFA rules, a soccer player can be registered for three clubs per season.

The blues sold him at the end of July, so that he would have been registered as a player.

Strasbourg then signed the England Youth International and registered it for this campaign.

He has now come to Swansea and will be registered to play for you.

FIFA region’s violin that footballers can only play for two clubs per season, even if they can be registered for three.

Although Samuels-Smith was in Chelsea and Strasbourg, he hadn’t played a single minute of professional action.

He was an unused replacement for the French side, but never rose from the bank.
