Victor Osimhen wants to play for Chelsea and, according to the former midfielder John Obi Mikel, would join the club this summer.
Mikel, who is close to the Nigerian colleague Osimh, admitted that he was involved in Chelsea’s failed striving for Napoli strikers last summer and claimed that a deal was “hours” removed and could be lit in the future.
Chelsea refused to sign a new striker after the collapse of the talks with Osimhen, but is back on the market this year, whereby the 26-year-old looks at one of many options for the blues.
At the beginning of this week it was reported that Osimhens many freepers, including Arsenal and Manchester United, expect that the Napoli striker will move to Saudi Arabia this summer, although this was soon said that he would like to move to the Premier League and continue his career in a top division in Europe.
If Chelsea decides to pursue her persecution of Osimhen, Mikel believes that an agreement is fairly easy to reach.
“Listen, it will be really sad when we don’t get a player who wants to support us a child and play for this football club” The Obi One Podcast.
“His idol is [Didier] Drogba, he will break records, win trophies, bring us back up and come for Drogba’s records. I tell you that it would be his mission.
“If the club decided not to pursue it. Then, fair enough, good luck for her, but the good thing is that we know where we left it, we can literally pick up the phone and bring it straight into the door. Get it in!”
While Ossimh is admired by many Inside Stamford Bridge, he is no longer seen as a primary goal for the blues who are looking for a younger option to condense with Nicolas Jackson.
Liam Delap from Ipswich Town has turned out to be a key option, while Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig and the upcoming Free Agent Jonathan David von Lille were also appointed candidates.
