Chelsea is expected to welcomed Carney Chukwuemeka back into the wrinkle next season, reports Borussia Dortmund, who decided due to the necessary ophthalmological finances.
Chukwuemeka did not make a single Premier League squad for Chelsea in the first half of the season and only received two starts in the various cup competitions of the club before sealing to Dortmund on the Deadline Day of the winter transfer window.
The 21-year-old midfielder started an excellent start in his temporary time in Germany and delivered a 20-minute replacement appearance in a 6-0 struggle by Union Berlin, which Dortmund chief coach Niko Kovac celebrated as “sensationally good”.
“He will bring us joy,” Kovac continued before adding crucial, “if he stays healthy.”
Knee problems delayed Chukwuemeka’s deleted debut and he was hindered by muscular problems in the following six weeks, which contributed to the first start of Dortmund.
Local German outlet Ruhr news Report that Dortmund decided against the existence with Chukwuemeka about the end of the current campaign.
Chelsea received a loan fee of € 2.4 million (£ 2 million) from Dortmund and added a purchase option of € 35 million (29.4 million GBP) into the deal. If the Bundesliga outfit triggered this clause, Chukwuemeka would become the joint signing in the history of the club in the history of the club, which corresponds to the sum with Ousmane Dembele in 2016.
Enzo Maresca’s blunt refusal to consider chukwuemeka for the selection of the Premier League is even more likely to return to Chelsea in summer. “Carney is a very good player,” the Italian outlined in September, “but for the number of players we have, we decided at the beginning of the season, it is probably better to go somewhere and go somewhere, to prove and play 30 or 35 games than to be here and play fewer games.”
Although Chukwuemeka finally sealed an exit, it was highly unlikely that Chelsea was hoping near the season. The English U21 international has a contract with the blues by the summer of 2028, although his future is far away.
