Club Brugge vs Aston Villa: Preview, predictions and lineups

Aston Villa travels to Belgium on Tuesday, where they will recently compete against the 16 ties against Club Brugge in the first stage of their Champions League.

The villans avoided a nerve-wracking play-off by ending under the top night of the first phase table of the first division, but Club Brugge was not so happy. Although the Belgian outfit won the Europa League winner of the Europa League in the past season to book her ticket in the 16th round.

The villa already knows the risk of its upcoming opponents after trying a 1-0 defeat in the Jan Breydel stage in November in November during the league phase. Hans Vanaken’s punishment in the second half decided the affair after an almighty howler of Tyrone Mings when he treated in the area.

Unai Emery is a master of European competition and will be confident that he can develop a plan that can ensure a positive result in order to return to Villa Park for the second leg.

Here is 90 minutes Guide to the European tie.

Nicky Hayen

Club Brugge doesn’t have a lot of fitness concerns, but manager Nicky Hayen will probably be without Raphael Onyedika for the first leg. The midfielder, who joined Manchester City at the beginning of this season, missed the weekend with Ghent because of an injury.

Left -back Bjorn Meier is the only other confirmed absentee for the duel on Tuesday. It has been out of operation since the end of January.

The villa has to cleverly keep an eye on the Villa, the main creator on the Belgian side. He has 16 goals and templates in the Jupiler Pro League this season and other two in Europe.

Club Brugge predicted Lineup vs Aston Villa (4-2-3-1): Mignolet; Seys, ordonez, mechele, de cuyper; Jashari, Vetlessen; Talbi; Vanaken, Tzolis; Jutgla.

Tyrone Mings

Villa is guaranteed without winter recruits Donyell Malen and Andres Garcia, since neither has been registered in the Champions League squad, while Pau Torres’s long-term absence of Amadou Onana continues to belong on the sidelines.

Tyrone Mings was absent for the FA Cup collision with Cardiff City on Friday and was able to miss again in Belgium, but Emiliano Martinez and Boubacar Kamara both returned to the Bluebirds.

Matty Cash was also absent against Cardiff, but Emery had confirmed before the collision that the Poland is approaching an internationally. He was able to make his comeback on Tuesday, as did Ross Barkley in the treatment room after two months.

Aston Villa predicted the occupation against Club Brugge (4-2-3-1): Martinez; Cash, Konsa, Bogarde, Digne; McGinn, Tielemans; Rogers, Asensio, Ramsey; Watkins.

The villa is viewed as a favorite over the two legs, but the visit to Bruges will have an immense challenge – and one that the team of Midland has not already transferred. Club Brugge lost only three home games this season and showed their offensive skills against Atalanta in the play-offs.

Emery’s men, who have played a considerable football in the past few weeks, cannot even afford a touch of complacency on Tuesday evening, and it is of the utmost importance that they avoid returning to the second leg.

Prediction: Club Brugge 1-1 Aston Villa
