The director of Flamengo, Jose Boto, confirmed transfer.

The 33-year-old is located in the last months of his contract in the Emirates stage and is expected to leave this summer two years after he came to the London rival Chelsea at a deal worth around 12 million GBP.

The agent of the experienced midfielder confirmed during the international break that the talks would soon be held with Arsenal and a series of clubs all over the world, including in Brazil, where Jorginho was born before he brought his talent to Italy as a teenager.

Jorginho has openly spoken of his interest in football in Brazil, where Flamengo’s interest in a summer contract has been known for a long time, and it seems that the two parties are in negotiations on a possible change.

“We never denied that he is a player who is interested in us,” said Boto. “We are in a negotiating process and I never remove anything about a negotiating process.

“What comes out in public, 99% of the time is not true. The ball is in its place, Jorginho’s, and he will treat it well and play this game with us.”

Arsenal boss Mikel Areta repeatedly greeted Jorginho’s professionalism and ability in limited minutes. This season, the 57-cap Italy internationally started in the Premier League and began to cover valuable cover for Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice for Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice.

While he is considering his next step in career, Jorginho studies for his coaching badges while looking at a position in football after his final retirement.
