Copenhagen vs Chelsea: Preview, predictions and lineups

Chelsea celebrates her comeback of the Europa Conference League on Thursday evening when you visit Copenhagen in the first leg of her last 16 collapse.

The blues have not been in European campaign since December after led to the top position in the league phase and won all six games with little excitement. This ensured that they avoided the play-off round, in which Copenhagen narrowly hit the German outfit Heidenheim over two legs.

Chelsea are not only favorites to relieve their Danish opponents, but expect to win the conference league in a Canter. But Enzo Maresca will demand the focus of his team when he follows a first piece of silver with the West London Club.

Chelsea enjoyed the weekend after being unloaded from the FA Cup in the fourth round, but Copenhagen was not so lucky. They completed horns with Aab Aalborg on Sunday, but a goalless draw was just one point at the top of the Superliga.

Here is 90 minutes Guide to the game.

Copenhagen has a variety of injuries that restrict Jacob Neestrup’s options for visiting Chelsea, with Nicolai Boilesen being missing in defense and Lukas Lerager and Oilver Hojer are absent in the middle of the park.

There are also considerable problems for Copenhagen in their forward unit. Jordan Larsson, Andreas Cornelius, Rooby Bardghji and Mohamed Elyounoussi will all be absent. The latter two will both return this weekend, but were not mentioned in the club’s squad on Thursday.

Copenhagen predicted the line-up against Chelsea (4-4-2): Ramaj; Diks, Pereira, Garnanga, Meling; Mattsson, Clem, Frooldt, Achouri; Claesson, Chiakha.

Benoît Badiail

Chelsea has her own injury concerns, with Nicolas Jackson, Marc Guiu and Noni Madueke currently excluding problems. The long-term absences of Romeo Lavia and Wesley Fofana were not mentioned in the League squad for the KO phase, while Mykhailo Mudryk is still suspended due to the resistance of a drug test.

However, Benoit Badiails is one of those who travel to Denmark when he started in the first few minutes since the beginning of December. Admittedly, it is unlikely that he will return with Maresca.

Cole Palmer, Trevoh Chalobah and Winter Recror Mathis Amougou have now all been registered for the conference league and take the trip to Copenhagen.

Chelsea predicted line-up against Copenhagen (4-2-3-1): Sanchez; Gusto, Adarabioyo, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Sancho, Palmer, Nkunku; Neto.

With so many injuries in their forward line, Copenhagen is difficult to use Chelsea, let alone win. The blues repeatedly flashed their opponents in the conference league and could do that on Thursday.

Now in the Knockout phase and with injuries to marginal artists, Maresca will probably call a strong start -XI in Copenhagen. The well-rested blues should have achieved their attacking muscles 26 times again in their six league phase games.

Prediction: Copenhagen 0-3 Chelsea
