Cristiano Ronaldo is famous for many things: a genetic freak of an athlete to score one of the highest jumps in football history and of course goals – many of them.
He is also known for one of the most famous target celebrations of all time, jumps into the air, lands on his sides with his arms and screams “Siuuuuuu” on the top of his lung.
Although we are still not quite sure what it means, the fans and players around the world have not stopped copying it – and the latest to do this is none other than Ronaldo’s own son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.
The 14-year-old not only met the celebration once, but twice after the goal in Portugal under the age of 15 against Croatia at the Vlatko Markovic International tournament.
For his first goal, Ronaldo Jr. scored a violent shot to the left, from a narrow angle in the box. His second was in an empty network with a well-coordinated header to complete a slick team movement.
He marked both goals with his father’s trademark, although some of his teammates even pay along.
Portugal’s national team and Ronaldo himself announced the clips on Instagram and proudly have the heading:
“Cristiano Jr.’s first two Siuuuu for Portugal!”
Ronaldo Jr.’s first goals for Portugal only made a few days after his international debut against Japan.
The teenager started on the bench, but was recorded in the 54th minute and helped Portugal to have a 4-1 win.
As was to be expected, his father beamed with pride. The Al Nassr star shared a number of photos of his son on social media and wrote: “Congratulations on her Portuguese debut, son. Very proud of her!”
It’s still early, but Ronaldo Jr.’s strong start at the international level suggests that he is ready to get his own call.
