Curtis Jones breaks silence on Liverpool red card after manic Merseyside derby

Curtis Jones continued to be popular with Liverpool supporters by publishing a support message on Wednesday after his red card after the Merseyside derby.

The midfielder was shown a second yellow card for the final whistle for the slide with Evertons Abdoulaye Doucore, which seemed to celebrate the late balance of the toffees in front of the Liverpool fans.

Jones and several other teammates have not kindly taken Doucoures actions. The 24-year-old had to be kept after confronting Doucore, who also received his marching commands for his role in the incident.

Jones went on social media on Thursday and posted a photo of the Liverpool squad, which celebrated her second goal in front of the traveling fans alongside the caption “Always together”.

The fans reacted positively to Jones’ actions, although he will now serve a match ban against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Jones’ forced absence can mean the manager Arne Slot – or whoever is responsible – has no choice but to turn to the trio of Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch, just a few days after the trio started against Everton .

His suspension will only take a game because Jones was released for two yellow cards and not for a straight red.
