‘Enough is enough’ – Ex-Premier League star issues astonishing statement as Inter Milan transfer is blocked

After your opening offer was rejected by Atalanta this week.

Lookman has now dragged on on social media to confirm that he asked to go with a long statement.

The 27-year-old has two years in his current deal in the Weiss Stadium.

However, he claims that Atalanta agreed that they would accept a “fair” offer around the same price as Inters offer.

Lookman wrote in an explanation divided into X: “In the past three years in Atalanta, I have given absolutely everything.

“Not only as a footballer, but as a person. I always wore the shirt with pride and tried to represent this club and the city of Bergamo with heart, passion and commitment.

“I came here to help this special club, and together we created memories that will stay with me forever.

“Winning the Europa League and standing on shoulder with my teammates in Dublin in Dublin to celebrate with our fans was one of the proudest moments of my career so far. It still gives me goosebumps.

“Atalanta and especially its supporters have become part of me.

“This place felt from the moment I arrived and I always tried to repay this love – even in moments when things behind the scenes were not easy.”

He continued: “This is what makes writing so difficult. I loved every moment, but now, after three wonderful years in Bergamo, it is the right time to continue and experience a new adventure.

“There have been numerous clubs in the past, and I have always remained loyal.

“However, I and ownership of the club agreed that the right time was the right time, and the club was clear to me that a fair offer would allow me to move.

“Although an offer to match what was discussed in my opinion, the club unfortunately blocks the opportunity for reasons that I do not understand.

“As a result and after many months of broken promises and in my opinion, I was unfortunately no choice but to speak for what I think is right, and I feel that enough is enough.

“I can confirm that I have now handed over a formal transmission request.”

Lookman’s message to followers

Lookman concluded his statement with a message to the supporters of Atalanta and added: “Even in the extremely difficult moments that I endured, many of which have remained privately and confidential, I always tried to set the club, the fans and the team first, and hoped that it would not happen, but unfortunately I have the feeling that there is now a small selection.

“For the fans – the heartbeat of this club – I would like to say that: I’m really sorry that it comes.

“I hope you can understand this incredibly difficult situation. It’s just about standing up for what I think is fair and correct.

“The support you always gave me was incredible and the bond that we created together is something special, I hope to work with the club together with the club in order to find a friendly solution for all parties as soon as possible. With love and gratitude, adeemola.”

The Nigerian international joined Atalanta in a five -year contract in 2022.

Since then he has scored 52 goals and achieved 25 templates in 118 appearances in all competitions.

These strikes include a hat trick in the final of the Europa League in May to help his team beat Bayer Leverkusen.

In addition to Lookman’s transfer request, Atalanta also changed the manager before the new season.

Long -time boss Gian Piero Gasperini left responsibility for Roma after nine years.

Since then he has been replaced by the former Southampton Manager Ivan Juric in the shelter.
