Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca asked Cole Palmer to simply do what he did to put an end to his mini prints in front of the goal.
The blues superstar -field player has not scored a goal in the last five Premier League games from Chelsea, but is also 13 games without an assist form, which illustrates the wider fights of the team in all competitions.
Palmer was guilty of missing a great chance in the 2-1 defeat against the Aston Villa at the weekend, but despite his hit loss, Maresca insisted that he was not worried about the English international.
“I am always concerned about the general performance, but I’m not worried about Cole because Cole is a person and have a few moments during the season when he has a little more struggling,” Maresca told a press conference.
“The problem with Cole is likely that we rely on Cole for everything and I have said since the beginning that we have to rely on the team. We definitely need big players, top players like Cole, but we do Don’t worry about Cole at all.
When asked how he would help Palmer to rediscover his best form, Maresca argued that the 22-year-old does not have to change anything.
“Just continue to work as he works,” the Chelsea boss Palmer advised. “The other day, I think he had a great chance, but overall the performance of Cole … Every game that we expect goals and templates from him is therefore difficult.
“He is a human being. At that moment, his achievements probably reflect the performance of the team that we have difficulty scoring goals, and we have to be a bit clinical if we have the chances.”
