The manager of Chelsea, Enzo Maresca, announced that he threatened to replace the goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen if he played long passes in Southampton on Tuesday evening during the 4-0 crack of his team.
The Italian tactic has suffered many goalkeeper complications this season. Maresca spent the first six months of the campaign, which Robert Sanchez publicly supported despite his continued mistakes between the articles. Despite the demands of his manager, Jorgensen tried eight passes for more than 30 meters and only completed half of them. When the 22-year-old briefly stood up for his ball circulation, he praised a success rate of 100% 28 attempts.
Southampton tried to hunt about doubts that lurked in the Stamford Bridge. “I want to press, steal the ball and play forward. I want us to try to be aggressive,” warned Saints boss Ivan Juric of the game. The visitors did their best to upset Jorgensen on the ball, but could not find any way past the goalkeeper during a convincing 4-0 loss.
Maresca realized that the requirements he places to his treated players could be difficult. “It is difficult for Filip, it is difficult for Robert when he played. I think it’s difficult for all goalkeepers,” admitted the head coach before warning: “But you should just follow the plan.”
