Erling Haaland returned to Manchester City Training on Tuesday, but manager Pep Guardiola admitted a final decision on his participation against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday.
The Norway International optimized itself late at the victory over Newcastle United at the beginning of this month and, despite the initial trust in his condition, missed the last two games of the city against Real Madrid and Liverpool.
He was spotted again in training on Tuesday, but Guardiola advocated patience from the city fans when he admitted that a decision on his return on Wednesday had to be made closer to the start.
“We will know after the training tonight,” said Guardiola about his press conference before the game. “I hope it, but I don’t know yet.
“He feels better, but could not have played in the last two games.”
City has to struggle in front of the goal in Haaland’s absence and is a surprise against a team of Tottenham who enjoyed a real upswing in the form when her own injury crisis began to facilitate. Three consecutive victories in the Premier League increased the team from Verzecoglou to twelfth place in the league, 11 points behind City in the middle of the week.
