It remains to be seen whether a purchase option would be included in any deal, with Ferguson still having a potential goal scorer on Elite level.

But last season, the hopes of his potential dampened when he scored only one goal in 15 games during an injury campaign when Joao Pedro and Danny Welbeck blocked his way into the team.

In fact, Ferguson was so unsolicited that he was borrowed from West Ham in the winter transmission window.

Things didn’t get better in East London, and the 20-year-old did not find the network in eight appearances.

Roma does not seem to have deterred his overwhelming season of 2024/25, although hope is still high that he can regain his early Brighton form.

In 2021, Ferguson moved to the Amex of Bohemians at the age of 16 and later this year he gave his first team debut after being 17.

In the following campaign it built that Brighton’s renowned scouts had hit gold again, with Ferguson scored ten times.

In a hat trick against Newcastle in September of this year, a hype reached the young part, and the association managed to make it sign a new five -year contract.

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur were associated with great money movements, and Ferguson was so impressive that Spurs was cited a mammoth £ 115 million for his services.

Chelsea then added to her list of summer transmission goals, but a step that never occurred before his evaluation.

This waste collapsed with the departure of Roberto de Zerbi, and his replacement Fabian Hurzeler was soon faced with questions about Ferguson’s lack of minutes.

A loan train to West Ham was then confirmed, with Hurzeler commenting: “Evan had frustrating 12 months with injuries.

“And so that he returns to the level to which he is able to continue his development, he really has to play regularly.

“This loan gives him this opportunity, and he knows well under a manager [Graham Potter].

“We look forward to watching Evan’s progress in the next few months and we wish him all the best.”

Roma had success with various strikers of the Premier League, who are looking for minutes in recent years, including Romelu Lukaku and Tammy Abraham.
