The former head of recruitment of Tottenham Hotspur, Steve Hitchen, claimed that the club had contracted both Jack Grialish and Frenkie de Jong during his time in the club.
Hitchen’s time with Spurs began to recruit Luka Modric as Scout and Half in 2008, and he also helped meet Liverpool a deal to hire Luis Suarez after moving to ANFELD two years later. He would return with Spurs as a new chief scout in 2017 before leaving again in 2022.
During his time, Spurs landed the signatures of players such as Cristian Romero and Pape Matar Sarr, but Hitchin claims that Gralish and de Jong are close to adding their names of this list.
“We were very close to getting Jack Geralish, which would probably have been one of the best [signings you could make]”, Said Hitchen Decision -maker.
“Jack Geralish was a Tottenham [type of] Player. He would have set fire to the place. He had the skills that he had fans from her seats. It would have been a difference at this time.
“We had Dele Alli at that time, and I think they also pushed each other. To massively miss this player during this time.
“And then we were very close to getting Frenkie de Jong – and I think Frenkie de Jong is again a Tottenham player. I think he made a big difference for us. We had to replace the irreplaceable in [Mousa] Dembele. Frenkie could probably have been in this position and it really succeeded, Spurs. “
Geralish would join Manchester City for 100 million pounds in Manchester City in Manchester City for £ 100 million.
