Former Liverpool forward finds new profession as footgolf star

Former Liverpool striker Florent Sinama-Pongolle has found a new home on the fairways that is the roar of Angeld against the calm precision of the professional foot.

The ex-France national player, who achieved 65 appearances and scored nine goals for the Reds (including a crucial strike against Olympiacos in the Champions League run 2004/05), took up the up-and-coming hybrid sport in which football hits the golf course, and it quickly makes a name for itself.

Sinama-Pongolle represented Hac Footgolf-A Club based in Le Havre, where he was once loaned, and recently divided a series of slick clips on Instagram, including a long-distance putt that praised fans. The film material was shot in Golf de Saint Donat, a lavish place outside of Cannes.

Accordingly Footgolf FranceThe national management body of sport currently has 31st place in the country – a strong performance for a relatively fresh face.

And he is also not the only one who exchanged tunnels for soft spikes. Anthony Le Tallec, a colleague Champions League winner and former teammate from Liverpool, also faces Hac Footgolf and ensures an unexpectedly nostalgic duo on the Greens.

From Merseyside to the Côte d’Azur-the second act of Sinama-Pongolle could be even smoother than his first.
