Gavi signs new long-term Barcelona contract

Gavi is the youngest Barcelona star, who signs a new contract and connects to La Liga Giants by 2030.

Contract extensions have been the task of business in Catalonia in the past few weeks. The central defender Ronald Araujo ended the uncertainty about his future by signing fresh terms before Pedri put the pen on paper on Thursday.

24 hours later, Barcelona confirmed that Gavi had followed a new five and a half year contract that remained with the Blaugrana by 2030.

“I am very happy to commit to the club of my life,” said Gavi when he entered his new deal.

According to reports, the new GAVI contract retains the EUR 1 billion publication clause, which was present in its previous deal. Barcelona is determined not to be forced to lose the 20-year-old, whose exit clause is significantly higher than the fee of € 65 million in Araujos New Deal.

Inigo Martinez will probably be in line next for a new contract, while superstar wingers Lamine Yamal has already confirmed his plan to extend itself with Barcelona.

The 17-year-old’s current deal expires in 2026, but it is assumed that there is an existing agreement on a contract that he will sign on his 18th birthday in July.
