Guro Reiten extends contract at Chelsea until 2026

Guro Reiten has extended her contract with Women’s Super League (WSL) club Chelsea until 2026.

Blues fans will be pleased to hear that the Norwegian star will remain at Cobham for another two years after Chelsea triggered his contract extension option on Tuesday. Reiten has made 177 appearances for the west London club after first signing in 2019.

Reiten has since become a fan favorite, scoring 32 goals in 102 WSL games. Since her arrival, the 30-year-old has contributed significantly to Chelsea’s domestic dominance, helping the team win five consecutive league titles.

The attacking midfielder recently took home the WSL Player of the Month award for November after a convincing start to the 2024/25 season. Despite a strong start to the current season, fans will never forget Reiten’s heroic performance in the 8-0 win over Bristol City, which helped Chelsea restore their title hopes in the 2023/24 season.

Reiten is approaching 100 appearances on the international stage for Norway, scoring 21 goals for her country. The electrifying striker has represented her country at two FIFA Women’s World Cups and two European Championships and will be aiming to make amends for Norway’s disappointing performance in Switzerland this summer.

Chelsea will return to action this weekend when they host Charlton Athletic in the fourth round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.
