How Arsenal can line up without Gabriel against Real Madrid

Arsenal’s injury curse knows no limits. When the Gunners Bukayo Saka welcomed the wrinkle again, they were put down by another devastating fitness setback.

Arsenal’s “Star Boy” returned to the plot last Tuesday and achieved his comeback against Fulham, whereby he indulged in adoration of the Emirates. However, the celebrations were a bit steamed after Gabriel’s Simstring injury had expired by Gabriel.

The Brazilian central defender was withdrawn with the huts at the beginning of the collision and will not come out this season, which means that he will miss the quarter -final of the most important Champions League against the incumbent European champion Real Madrid.

Mikel Areta has to find a way without managing his highly towering center against the power of Madrid’s forward line, but that will be anything but uncomplicated.

Here are several possible solutions for Areta.

Jakub Kiwior

Since Riccardo Calafiori was currently unsure with a knee injury and his return date, Jakub Kiwior Arsenal’s only natural replacement for Gabriel is. The international Poland was the man who turned Areteta from the bank against Fulham and then in Everton from the start.

Not for the first time in his career in Arsenal, the 25-year-old did not completely convince if he filled the shoes of those above him in the Hack order. Saliba and Gabriel are elite centers and are incredibly difficult to replace, but Kiwior is far from their excellent level.

The Poland International will have immense difficulties to deal with Kylian Mbappe and Madrid’s devastating interior, but Arteta has only a few other options in the heart of his defense.

Jurria wood

Foreign defenders and central defenders are very different positions, but there are some crossover. Someone with a natural defensive way of thinking that covers an unknown position can be incredibly practical, and Jurrien Timber and Ben White have both shown their ability to play in the center of defense beforehand.

White was a regular center before it arrived in the Emirates, and wood was used in the previously both Ajax and Arsenal. If Areta has no complete and complete trust in Kiwior, he could bring his full -back to the center.

The good news for Arteta is that White had returned from an injury to Everton and wood was fit enough to play in Goodison Park after suffering an injury fright against the huts. Both are in standby companies when Areteta needs more mobility against Madrid.

Thomas Party

Thomas has recently been a Swiss army knife for Arsenal for Arsenal and was most frequently filled in the right -back this season, as the Gunner’s defensive injuries. However, the former midfielder of Atletico Madrid could be exposed to familiar enemies as an emergency back back.

In view of the availability of other options mentioned above, it is unlikely, but Arteta could call his stubborn executor in the heart of defense if necessary. When he knew Arsenal’s injury game, he could be needed for at least one of the legs.
