Florian Wirtz has refuted the claims that he would like to wear No. 10 shirt in Liverpool.
A report by Sky Germany states that Wirtz, who has No. 10 on his back at Bayer Leverkusen, hoped to do the same in Anfield.

However, the No. 10 shirt is already worn by Alexis Mac Allister, who inherited it from Sadio Man when he came from Brighton in June 2023.
Although the iconic number of Liverpool was dangled in negotiations for Wirtz as a carrot, the German has since rejected the idea that he would violently remove from Mac Allister.
“Whoever says I want the 10 that I respect,” wrote Wirtz in an Instagram story.
“Don’t believe everything that is written.”
Wirtz ‘judgment was music for Mac Allister’s ears because the 26-year-old was talked about how much he loved the number on the Liverpool club website when signed.
“I know how important number ten in football is,” said Mac Allister in 2023.
“I had the opportunity to take number eight, which is a large number for this club [Steven] Gerrard, of course.
“But I chose number ten because I also used it in Argentina, also in Brighton, U23 national team.
“It’s a number that I really like and that’s why I chose it.”
Wirtz may not even have to think about which number he wants on the back of his Liverpool kit, and Leverkusen rejected the latest offer of the Reds of 109 million pounds.

The Bundesliga Club demands £ 126 million, which would destroy the British transfer record.
This is currently held by Chelsea, who paid around £ 115 million for Moises Caicedo in 2023.
Personal conditions have already been agreed between Liverpool and the player, with the 22-year-old only looking at a move to Merseyside.
Although Leverkusen has shown a willingness to complete a deal for Wirtz at the beginning of the window, the Chief Football correspondent from Talksport announced on Monday that the German Club is open to having Harvey Elliott and Jarell Quansah in future offers.
“Liverpool made her first offer, we understand more than 109 million GBP.
“It is not a British record fee according to which Leverkusen asked.
“When the Bayern Munich were at the negotiating table, the price was 126 million GBP.
“The interesting element here is the potential of Liverpool players who go in the opposite direction.
“Bayer Leverkusen are in particular big fans of Harvey Elliott, who is ready to sell a player who is Liverpool this summer for the right price.
“The other man who could move in the opposite direction is Jarell Quansah.
“Liverpool tries to do your business early.”
