I won the World Cup with Phil Foden and Jadon Sancho, now I work a 9-5 office job and play in the ninth tier

Anderson saved and achieved a penalty in the last 16 during her shootout over Japan.

It was one of six appearances he made at the tournament, among other things in the final against Spain when England triumphed 5-2.

On this day, Marc Guehi, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Morgan Gibbs-White showed future senior international matches.

Foden also scored twice, while Sancho was called back from Borussia Dortmund for his first team.

Anderson was never over the level of under 19 forces and now compensates for an office job with playing on the ninth level.

As some of his former teammates at the 2022 World Cup, Anderson turned out to be particularly difficult.

In conversation with The Times in 2023, he explained: “I really had problems because I saw so many of my old teammates and people with whom I had spent a lot of time.

“And then I am there, sat at home and watched on TV and thought: ‘How did that happen?'”

After going through the Manchester City’s Academy next to Foden, he left the club in 2019.

After walking to Blackburn, Anderson went to the USA to join Charlotte Independence.

What happened to Curtis Anderson?

He remembered the decision he was only 18 years old and said: “I am a child and thought I knew everything, I thought no, I had to go and play.

“Blackburn was clearly there – why not train, earn this money and go to Blackburn at the end of the season? Nobody told me that I should do that.”

However, he was back in England just a year later when he signed Wycombe for the then championship page.

Anderson stayed with the Chairboys for three years without appearing an appearance of the first team.

After leaving the club in 2022, and decided in the non-league in Lancaster City a short sorceress for a change of career.

Since then, the 24-year-old has worked for the financial advisory company Markland Hill Wealth in Lancaster.

Life after the Premier League football

After deserving a diploma in financial planning, he now has the position of the head of the sports manager for financial planning.

Anderson explained his decision to work in the financial sector and added: “My interest in finance came from the city and signed a professional [contract] And then no money left two years later.

“When I look back, I wonder what I spent my money on. I don’t really know.

“I have an apartment, a car and bought a Rolex and thought that is the worst thing I could have bought – and it was the best thing I bought.

“This is the only thing I could sell for more than I bought it.”

Anderson went to Bootle during the 2022/23 season before leaving the club at the end of the campaign.
