Gabriel Jesus is keen to extend his stay at Arsenal after suffering long injury layoffs in each of his four seasons at the club.
The 28-year-old has missed over 70 games for the Gunners due to injury since his £45million move from Manchester City in 2022.

He has never played more than 27 times in the Premier League in a single season and has only scored double figures in points in one season.
Jesus suffered four separate knee blows – three of which required surgery.
Due to a torn cruciate ligament in January 2025, the Brazilian was sidelined until December 11th, when he came on as a substitute in the Champions League against Club Brugge.
The four-time Premier League winner is now fully fit and has made 11 appearances in all competitions this season.
But as was the case during his stay in north London, he found goals difficult to score, having only found the back of the net once.
And Jesus, who scored just 27 goals in 107 games for Arsenal, is keen to repay their faith in him by leading the club to their first league title in 22 years.
Jesus, who is at the Emirates until 2027, has been restricted to a supporting role this season, with Viktor Gyokeres taking the lead following his big-money move last summer.
Despite rumors that the club will try to release him at the end of the season, Jesus has asked the club to give him new terms.
Gift of the Gab
Ahead of Arsenal’s Champions League clash at Inter Milan, he said: “This is my fourth season at Arsenal and unfortunately I’ve played maybe one and a half, two.”
“The rest, with injuries, that happens, it’s never happened to me before, but it happened here, I don’t know why.”

“I don’t wonder anymore. I just try to be fit and then my first goal is to be healthy from now until the end of the season.”
“As I said, my wish is to stay at Arsenal. And then I have a contract.”
“If you ask me, as you have already done, of course I would like to extend my contract.
“I want to stay and win trophies with Arsenal because I came here with one goal. Then that’s it. But the reality is obviously different.”
“Sometimes it can work [another] Away. But my focus is on staying healthy and then winning trophies with Arsenal.
Contrary to Jesus’ wishes, he then revealed that no contract negotiations had yet taken place.

When asked if there had been discussions about a new deal, Jesus simply replied, “No.”
Despite his lack of goals, some Gooners have called for him to take over due to Gyokeres’ difficulties.
But Jesus has backed the Sweden international to prove his doubters wrong.
He said: “He’s a top striker. He scored a lot of goals at his previous club. And then I’m sure he’ll find a way to do the same for us because that’s good for us.”
“He’s a striker who can score goals at any time and in any minute. Then Kai too.” [Havertz] is a great player, a great striker.
“I’m just so happy to be back. I had the worst injury of my life, 11 months. And then to come back the way I came back, I’m so happy.”
