Jamie Carragher has made a surprise transfer prediction for Cole Palmer if Chelsea’s problems continue this season.
Palmer enjoyed a breakthrough season for the Blues after joining from Manchester City for £42.5 million.

The 22-year-old was named PFA Young Player of the Year after scoring 25 goals in all competitions.
He was Chelsea’s only bright spot in an otherwise disappointing season last season.
The move from City to Stamford Bridge was positive for Palmer.
He made it into England’s squad for Euro 2024 and played a key role in Gareth Southgate’s team reaching the final, which they then lost to Spain.
Palmer was rewarded for his excellent season and signed a two-year contract extension that will give him a pay rise and keep him at the club until 2033.
However, Carragher said he might look elsewhere if Chelsea have another miserable season.
Although Palmer attended City’s academy, he has been a Manchester United fan since childhood.
And Liverpool legend Carragher suggested looking at the situation again in 12 months.
Speaking to The Overlap, Carragher said: “I’ve just thought of something. If Chelsea have another bad season, we talked about it earlier, Manchester United will have a real problem on the right wing.

“He [Palmer] is a huge Man United fan, right? Wouldn’t that be something that maybe United should visit in 12 months if things aren’t going well?
“You know what, I think that could happen. Yes, Cole Palmer to Man United.”
Big things are expected of Palmer this season, but The Pitch Prospect presenter Simon Jordan believes there may be too much hype surrounding him.
He told The Pitch Prospect: “Every time Cole Palmer came on the pitch, [at Euro 2024]There was a lot of expectation that he would do something spectacular and change the course of the game.
“I think he is a good player, I think he will be a very good player.
“But when you see someone like Mbappé come on the pitch or see the former superstars, I don’t think he’s anywhere near there. I think he’s a very good player.
“I think he has what it takes to be a very, very good player. But we have this habit of turning a quart into a pint just because we want to.”
