“When I was in Manchester United, we played West Brom away. I tried to practice this celebration,” he recalled. “At first I did different things. I did J&L.. If I scored a goal today, I would make this celebration.”

“So I scored a goal and did it,” he added. “Not a lot of people knew what was going on. Finally, I explained what it means. This is my later ego, J-Lingz. This is my business, man.”

The celebration was not the only thing that Lingard talked about during his interview – he also discussed his striking new look.

The former English international has taken over a Korean haircut that surprised many fans and triggered some carefree jokes online.

“I like to brush every time I get a haircut. I have to look fresh,” said Lingard. “Most of our games are on TV, so I like to look fresh. Probably I get a haircut once a week. In England, this haircut, very popular.”
