Lamine Yamal gives verdict on referee conspiracy against Barcelona, Real Madrid & Atletico Madrid

Barcelona’s 17-year-old Starlet Lamine Yamal showed the maturity of a much older player when he was asked about the recent referee controversy who plagued La Liga.

Real Madrid has led against perceived injustices throughout the campaign, whereby reports indicate that they could even consider to leave La Liga completely. Madrid’s anger with the nation’s officials was reinforced by the red card that Jew Bellingham received last weekend for swearing from referee Jose Luis Munuera Montero.

Yamal has little time for such conspiracy theories. The wing player with a fleet foot insisted that no club – including his own employer Barcelona – criticizes any referee and offered a defense for these tested numbers.

“The thing is that I think that almost everything has been questioned lately,” said Yamal to Mundo Deportivo.

“There are things that are clear and there is no doubt about them. And I think that the task of a referee in the end is very difficult that the other side will complain in the end. And if nobody complains, the other Team that doesn’t play.

Madrid’s suspicion mostly live at La Liga Referees – Ancelotti recently claimed that there are “fewer controversy and fewer Var interventions” with the officials of the Champions League. These doubts were cultivated by the current saga around the historical payments of Barcelona to a company that belonged to the Vice President of the referee committee of Spanish football, Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira.

“In the Copa del Rey, the referees first favored Madrid and then against Osasuna against her. It will be every game show,” Yamal continued with a shrug.

“I think we can’t complain, Madrid, Barca and Atletico. I think the referees try to do their best. Referees try to do their best.
