TalkSPORT understands Liam Delap is a potential summer target for Newcastle.
Delap met with Magpies manager Eddie Howe before joining Chelsea from Ipswich last summer and was impressed by the Newcastle manager.

Chelsea are likely to be open to offers for Delap, who has only scored one goal in the Premier League this season.
The £40million striker has struggled for form since arriving at Stamford Bridge, while his season has also been affected by injuries.
Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has relied on Joao Pedro since taking over in January, with Delap playing a supporting role.
Newcastle, meanwhile, are trying to revamp their attack despite £120m splashes from Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa last summer.
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has made strengthening his attack a top priority during the summer transfer window.
The departure of Alexander Isak last summer left Howe in limbo and without attacking options as time ran out.
The towering German has scored 10 times since arriving on Tyneside, but just once since the start of 2026.
Wissa has now scored three times in 21 appearances for the Magpies this season.
The acquisitions of Woltemade and Wissa are yet to bear fruit as both players were relegated to the bench for both Champions League games between Newcastle and Barcelona.
Both players were unused substitutes in Wednesday’s 7-2 defeat at the Nou Camp.
Woltemade is understood to be frustrated by his lack of playing time, particularly in the club’s most important games.
Howe had opted to use Anthony Gordon as a false nine, while Will Osula has also been favored of late following his last-minute heroics against Manchester United.
Despite only joining Newcastle in August, Woltemade’s future was constantly under scrutiny.
Bayern Munich are understood to be monitoring his situation following their interest last summer.
Regardless of which players are released this summer, Howe will be looking for a new striker to lead the team next season.
Former England U21 star Delap impressed in his first Premier League season with Ipswich, scoring 12 goals in 37 appearances for the Tractor Boys.
Newcastle were one of many teams interested in signing the Manchester City academy star ahead of his move to Stamford Bridge and their interest has not waned.
More to come…
