According to information from The Pitch Prospect, Liverpool are confident that Virgil van Dijk will stay at Anfield after the summer.
The 32-year-old’s contract at Anfield currently has a year left to run, which has raised fears among fans that he could move on soon.

Spanish news portal Marca claimed that Al Nassr had been in contact with the Reds captain’s representative regarding a move to Saudi Arabia.
It is claimed that an offer is on the table to become the highest-paid defender in the world as they look to strengthen their squad, which also includes Cristiano Ronaldo.
But The Pitch Prospect is aware that these rumors are completely false as the club has not yet contacted the Dutchman.
Last month, the Dutch centre-back insisted he was not going anywhere following the departure of manager Jürgen Klopp this summer.
His compatriot Arne Slot will take over as manager at Anfield and Van Dijk said he was looking forward to working with the former Feyenoord boss.
He said: “Of course I have full confidence in the club and in all future decisions. It is also exciting.”
“Changes are always a little uncertain, but I am full of confidence and am already looking forward to the new season.”
And in the Dutch training camp before the 2024 European Championship, Van Dijk remarked: “My contract still has a year to run.

Van Dik has been an important figure for the Reds since joining from Southampton in 2018.
He played 270 games and established himself as one of the best defenders of his generation.
Van Dijk has played a key role in the club’s success over the past six years, winning a Champions League and Premier League medal, as well as an FA Cup, two League Cups, the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.
The defender even scored the winning goal in Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final midway through the 2023/24 season.
Van Dijk took over Liverpool’s captaincy last summer following the departure of Jordan Henderson.
The former Sunderland midfielder left the club to join Al Ettifaq, the Saudi Pro League team owned by Reds legend Steven Gerrard, but has since signed for Ajax.
