According to The Pitch Prospect, Ibrahima Konate and Jarell Quansah are in talks to extend their contracts at Liverpool.
The news gives boss Arne Slot a huge boost amid uncertainty over the futures of Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

It is believed that negotiations with French international Konate are at an early stage.
The 25-year-old has two years left on his contract at Anfield after joining from RB Leipzig for £36m in 2021.
He has formed a formidable partnership with Van Dijk at the heart of the defense which has seen the Premier League leaders concede just two goals in their first seven games.
Since moving from Germany, Konate has struggled with injury setbacks, which is why Quansah was included in the lineup last season.
In his breakthrough season, the 21-year-old academy graduate made 33 appearances in all competitions under Jürgen Klopp.
Quansah even managed to find the net twice in his 17 appearances in the top flight.
And it is understood the England Under-21 international appears ready to agree terms to extend his stay beyond 2027.
Although Quansah was a regular last season, the partnership between Konate and Van Dijk made it difficult to get playing time under Slot’s tutelage.
He was limited to just two games, with his only Premier League appearance coming on the opening day of the season away to Ipswich.
While the talks with Quansah and Konate are positive news for Liverpool, the club is yet to make a breakthrough with Salah, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold.

The trio are tied to Merseyside until the summer of 2025 and can speak to clubs outside the UK about a free transfer from January.
Salah has been heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia next year and believes Alexander-Arnold is on Real Madrid’s radar.
Slot refused to discuss the situation of his star players in his press conference on Friday ahead of their 1-0 win at Crystal Palace.
Asked if there was an update regarding the three players, the Dutchman said: “It’s the same boring answer as always.”
“I could really understand if you asked me that every two weeks.
“But if you ask me that again after two or three days, you still get the same answer and people feel like I’m boring them!”
“So, try again after the international break!”
