Liverpool will spend in East Asia before the season, including the club’s first trip to Japan.
The reds have often used summer in recent years to tour North America, but this will be the third time in just under a decade in which Liverpool has traveled to the east to carry out the preparations for the season and to deal with fans in the region.
As the most likely crowned Premier League champion, Liverpool will compete against AC Milan at the Kai Tak Stadium in Hong Kong on July 26 – the official opening game of the new event location. The “Standard Chartered Trophy” is also offered to the winners of this one.
After leaving Hong Kong, Liverpool will go to Japan. However, details and opponents for the second stage of the tour have not yet been confirmed by the association.
Liverpool’s connections to Japan were strengthened by a partnership with Japan Airlines, which was signed last summer. The club also counts the current national team captain Wataru Endo in the play squad, although the midfielder was recently associated with a summer return to the Bundesliga.
Endo played an important role in the Arne Slot squad this season, although he did not start Premier League game. He was often brought by the bank and was publicly praised by the boss for his attitude, application and the example he puts to others.
On the course to win a Premier League title at the end of this season, the opportunity to play more regularly, in view of Eintracht Frankfurt, be tempting for Endo, who recently turned 32 and previously enjoyed a successful Bundesliga magic with Stuttgart.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will certainly not be part of the Liverpool squad in the previous season, with a free transfer from Real Madrid, which was almost publicly announced. There are also doubts about Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, both of whom should still agree on a new contract for the stay in Angeld.
